First time here, and hopefully I’ll come back to try more options! I had a “sampler entrée” which allowed me to select two portions of other entrées. The food is decent, the service is excellent, and their house-made flan is a must-have dessert. I stopped by for lunch, so the afternoon and evening may have a different vibe. They also have live music and events every other week along with special discounts/happy hour-style deals for every other day of the week.

First time here it was nice to have the owner come to our table and help us decide what to order. The food was delicious, we order the chicharrones de pollo with tostones and the cilantro sauce, congri rice and a fish sandwich. The seasoning was perfect and good portions . You need to try "el batido de guanabana" riquisimo. We will be back with our daughters so they can try some Cuban cuisine. Excellent food and atmosphere. Recommended.

Havana Heights Cuban in Friendswood, is a gem for anyone craving authentic and delicious Cuban cuisine. This location has been a few different restaurants but I really like how they remodeled it this time. From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff helped make it a good dining experience. We began with perfectly crispy and flavorful empanadas. For the main course, we tried both the Arroz con Pollo, a delightful blend of tender chicken and well-seasoned rice, and the Camarones a la Diablo. Both were very good and tasted freshly prepared. A side of sweet plantains complemented the meal perfectly. Tons of different rice and some beans came with our platter. They also brought over some fresh bread and garlic aioli which I couldn’t stop eating. Everything was really good. For dessert we tried the flan and they also gave us some churros to try. The flan was very smooth and delicious. Every dish was well prepared and served with a touch of authenticity that truly transported us to the heart of Cuban culinary tradition. Not all was perfect as they were out of several items we wanted. It took a little while for them to tell us the carne de papas we ordered was not available. Jennifer, the owner, came out and apologized. She was lovely and we could tell they are working hard to satisfy everyone. I didn’t hold this against them as everything we did have was delicious. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Cuban food or looking to try something new, Havana Heights will not disappoint. Highly recommended!

Loved this place! ¡delicioso! The food was amazing. The service was quick and excellent. The prices are reasonable. We will definitely make a trip in the future to visit again. They accept BAHFL.

[November 2024 update: we're back for our fourth visit to this wonderful spot, and it's amazing every time. Piping hot fresh flautas, a huge crisp salad, and some of the best iced tea I've had in Texas. Despite the restaurant being a bit short-staffed, lovely service from Arlessa.] Oh my word. What a fantastic little gem to have discovered in Friendswood! If you like absolutely delicious Cuban food with friendly service, Havana Heights will delight you as much as it did us. My husband said these were the best tamales he's had since leaving Chile. The portions are incredible for the very reasonable prices. Not sure what to try first? Neither were we, so we opted for sampler platters and were thrilled with the variety and quality. If you like exceptional flan and perfect Cuban coffee, this is a pairing you don't want to miss. The mojitos were so fresh and didn't skimp on the all-important mint. Well-stocked bar with a generous Scotch selection. We weren't trying to eavesdrop but overheard people around us being similarly wowed by this delicious food. Excellent service from everyone, with great recommendations from Stephanie. She also mentioned that Havana Heights reopened with a new owner and name a couple months ago from a different Cuban eatery. This is now a friendly, lively, full service and full bar restaurant. We'll definitely return to enjoy Sunday brunch. One note: HH is a bit tucked back from the road. If you are going north on E. Parkwood, it's just before HEB in the little shopping center on the right. Truly excellent.

So glad my family and I came to celebrate Father's Day here at Havana Heights today!!! This is our favorite Cuban restaurant and after seeing the new additions to their menu (posted on their social media), we just HAD to come try them! I ordered the Bistec Palomilla and the Devil's Margarita, both of which were absolutely divine as always!! I just love this restaurant - the drinks are perfectly made, food is absolutely delicious, service is always on par, and the music makes you want to jump up and dance!!! It fills my Latina heart with joy!

This is my favorite Cuban food restaurant! We come here at least once a week. Today, we celebrated Father's Day with both sides of the family. They had some new items on the menu, and they did not disappoint!! I had the Devil's margarita, which contains sangria and tequila....it was so refreshing. The Bistec Palomilla was so tender and flavorful, and the grilled onions were so good. Service by Ana was amazing. She is so attentive and catered to our needs. Normally, Cuban food is not spicy, but they offer a spicy green sauce that my father in law loves. The owner always sends him home with extra every time we come to enjoy throughout the week. We love it! You have to give them a try if you haven't. A coworker of mine who is from Havana says that their Cuban sandwich reminds him of home. There seems to be a lot of haters out there leaving reviews to be spiteful. For all the haters out there who say the food is not authentic...please ask to speak to Chef Asalia...who is from Havana, Cuba! She's a lovely lady who will come out of the kitchen to speak with you about anything you are not happy with or would like to request!
